WHAT ARE KIMOCHIS®
Kimochi (KEY.MO.CHEE) means “feeling” in Japanese.
Sometimes kids (and adults) have strong feelings that can fuel challenging behaviours. Sometimes it’s hard to know how to communicate when you are in an emotional moment. Kimochis® are a playful way to help children (and adults!) learn how to identify and express feelings. When kids can communicate their feelings effectively, they develop positive social skills that lead to lasting friendships and success in all aspects of life. Kimochis® teach the fourth “R”—reading, writing, arithmetic, and RELATIONSHIPS. This “R” is the foundation for success in ALL areas of life.
We partner with Plushy Feely Corp (USA) to provide access to tools and endorsed training. During the current season, Kimochis® have made the online Educator’s Portal available to all.

PURCHASE OF feeling pillows guide for mental health professionals
Kimochis® feeling pillows offer a hands-on, playful and interactive way to help children explore feelings. The Kimochis® Feeling Pillows Guide: Activities for Mental Health Professionals to Help Children Process and Regulate Big Feelings elevates the feeling pillows to a therapeutic intervention that provides novel ways to help children ages 5-12 process and regulate BIG emotions.
PLEASE NOTE that we aim to facilitate PD workshops as regular as we can, in as many locations as we can. We are constantly adding new dates and will update this page with new dates as they become available.
