Ellen Jean Eversole Mashburn

Ellen Jean Goodwin Eversole Mashburn, age 62 of Knox City, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 1999 at the County Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown.

The daughter of Eugene and Gladys Gray Poindexter Goodwin, she was born August 15, 1936 at Everton, Missouri in Dade County. In 1954 she was united in marriage to Donald (Barney) Eversole. She later married George Mashburn in 1972.

She is survived by six children, Clyde Eugene Eversole and his wife Betty of Rock Island, Illinois; Brenda Bohrer and her husband Brooks of Turlock, California; Kerry Don Eversole of Knox City, MO; Kim Harper and Paul Harper both of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; Amanda Baker and her husband Vern of Lynn Center, Illinois and Calvin Eversole of Hannibal, Mo.; one sister, Shirley Fox of Gresham, Oregon; a double cousin, Tommy Goodwin of Knox City, Mo., a step-son, Steve Eversole and step-daughter Donna Eversole, both of Danville, Illinois and fourteen grandchildren, Misty Eversole, Miranda Eversole, Ethan Eversole, Megan Eversole, Brandi Behrer Hiatte, Hillary Bohrer, Michael Woodard, Trey Harper, Cyrstal Eversole, Nathan Eversole, Chris Crandall, Jenna Baker, David Baker and Susan Baker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Ann Eversole; a son, Terry Mark Eversole and one brother, Jerry William Goodwin.

Mrs. Mashburn lived most of her life in the Knox City Community, where she attended school. For a number of years she was employed by several businesses in Quincy, Illinois, including Motorola and Paper Box Company. For several years she owned and operated a restaurant in LaBelle, Missouri. She was later employed by the LaBelle Manor Care Center in LaBelle.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 7, 1999 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina, Missouri, with the Reverend David Feldkamp officiating.

Burial was in the Knox City Cemetery at Knox City, Missouri.

Visitation was held Friday August 6, 1999 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel at Edina, Missouri.
