Vehicles have gotten a major upgrade in Fortnite with Chapter 5, Season 3. Instead of simply being a great way to get around the map faster, and occasionally run over an unlucky opponent, you can now add mods to your cars to turn them into deadly weapons. Since this season’s entire theme is centered around vehicular combat, you will be left in the dust if you don’t learn how to fully take advantage of all the new ways to kit out your ride. Thankfully, modifying your vehicle is much easier in Fortnite than in real life, so let us give you the rundown on all the vehicle mods and how they work.

All vehicle mods and how they work

Modding a vehicle in Fortnite is so simple you may even do it by accident the first time around. While you’re driving around the map, keep your eyes peeled for the vehicle mod crates lying around. These will have some text above them telling you which mod they are. Once you spot one, simply run it over to install that mod on your current car. You can also pick them up on foot and throw them at a vehicle to equip them that way.

Each vehicle can only have one mod per slot, and not all vehicles have the same number of slots. The SUV, for example, can equip any mod, but a dirt bike obviously can’t use one that uses the roof slot. Here are all the mods currently in Fortnite.

All active Genshin Impact codes and how to redeem them

All vehicle mods in Fortnite and how to use them | Digital Trends (3)

There are tons of ways to earn all the different forms of currency and items in Genshin Impact, but you can only get so much in a day before you run out. While the game isn't going to grind to a halt if you don't have enough items like Primogems, you will be significantly slowed down in terms of progress. While you could turn to spending real money to get over these humps, there are alternative ways to get a huge influx of items completely free, with no grinding required. Each month, there is a new set of Genshin Impact codes you can take advantage of to add tons of Primogems, experience, Mora, and more to your inventory. Here are all the current ones you can claim and how to access them.
How to claim Genshin Impact codes

To redeem any Genshin Impact code, you just need to go to the official code redemption page. Log in with your account, specify the character you want to receive the rewards, and type or paste the code into the Redemption Code field. Once done, the rewards will be sent to your character's in-game mail menu to claim on whatever platform you play on. Be aware that some codes can't be redeemed until you hit specific Adventure Ranks.

All vehicle mods in Fortnite and how to use them | Digital Trends (4)

Every new season in Fortnite is a massive event. New skins, abilities, missions, weapons, and a new battle pass to complete are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of new content. If one season doesn't quite hit for you, or if you've already crushed all the content there was and are eagerly awaiting the next season's start, knowing when to mark your calendar is essential. Let's dive into when you can expect the next season of Fortnite to begin. When does the next Fortnite season start? We are currently in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, meaning the next season will be Chapter 5 Season 3. The season will roll over at 2 a.m PT on May 24, 2024. Keep in mind that there is always a period of downtime between seasons as Epic updates the game and gets it ready for whatever new content and themes will be included. So while that 2 a.m. time should be accurate for when the season will end, we can't be 100% certain about when the servers will be back up and you can actually start playing season 3. We have no official word on what the next Fortnite season's theme will be, nor have there been any credible leaks. If we hear anything on what to expect on May 24, we will keep you in the loop.

Sea of Thieves alliances guide: how to join and benefits

All vehicle mods in Fortnite and how to use them | Digital Trends (5)

There are ways in which you could play as a solo pirate in Sea of Thieves, but adventuring is so much more fun and rewarding when you're part of a crew. Once you've gotten a handle on how to play the game, taking on voyages and attacking other players with fellow pirates is where the real fun begins. Alliances make it much easier to coordinate and team up with your fellow scallywags, but how you form them and all the benefits they can provide are somewhat obfuscated. It isn't as simple as joining a party through a menu like in other games, so follow our treasure map to learn all about how alliances work in Sea of Thieves.
How to join or start an alliance

Alliances aren't made in menus, but require you to do some work in-game. Just like real pirates, alliances are determined by what flag you're flying. When you're sailing near a ship you want to partner up with, climb up your crow's nest and interact with the flag box. Go to the Alliances tab and choose the Offer Alliance flag. If the other ship is also flying that flag, you can then change your flag to the Join Alliance flag to fully form the alliance. There is no limit on how many ships can be in an alliance at once in one game.
